About

My art is a tribute to the quiet moments and hidden stories of nature. I paint animals not in their grandest poses, but in stillness, vulnerability, or overlooked expressions. Whether it is a standing mouse among wild strawberry leaves or a stork bathing in moonlight, each piece invites the viewer to witness animals with reverence and presence.

Through my work, I seek to bridge the emotional lives of animals and the human world. Every painting is rooted in a deep respect for nature and a commitment to protecting it. I donate 50% of my proceeds to conservation efforts that align with the subject of each piece. Each painting becomes both a visual offering and a small act of advocacy.

This is not a pursuit of decoration. It is a focused and intentional practice that aims to awaken care, shift perception, and affirm the intrinsic worth of the natural world.

My Story

Born in Serbia and raised in Japan, my journey as an artist began in a world of contrasts, between cultures, languages, and environments. As a child, I found solace in drawing and painting, often preferring the company of animals to people. My early years were marked by a deep connection to nature and a sense of adventure, often playing pretend with my childhood pets and finding stories in their every movement.

Moving often, from Serbia to the U.S. and back to Japan, I struggled to find a sense of belonging. Art became my constant, a way to communicate when words fell short. My fascination with animals grew stronger as I witnessed the profound beauty of their resilience, like the sparrow I named One Leg, who thrived despite its disability, embodying a strength and will to live.

After years of working in a structured corporate environment, I chose to devote myself fully to art. I now work as a full-time artist creating high-end oil paintings that support wildlife protection. My current focus lies in painting pieces that are not only beautiful but have purpose, with proceeds directly supporting conservation.

Among my ongoing works is the Balkan Lynx Forest Series, a narrative collection that follows the presence of animals and plants through a symbolic journey of awareness and ecological reverence. I am also developing the Moonlight Series, which features white birds illuminated in soft, quiet light, drawing attention to fragility and grace.

My painting process is slow, layered, and intentional. I do not create to decorate. I create to protect what is silent, vanishing, and sacred.
